Janna Dina “Jane” Walvoord (1825-1894)

Janna Dina “Jane” Walvoord was the youngest sister of Hendrik Walvoord.  She was born January 27, 1825 in Aalten, Gelderland Province, Netherlands.  Jane died October 8, 1894.

Jane came to America in 1849 with her brother Hendrik.  After she arrived in America, she married a man also of the name Walvoord: Dirk Tony Walvoord (likely a brother of J. D. Walvoord).

Jane and Dirk Tony had three sons: Garrett, Tony and William.

Garrett married Delia Huenink and had six children: Jennie, Minnie, Anna, Elmer, Alice and Della.

Tony married Jane Pott and had four children: Antoinette, Mabel, Agnes and Alvin.  Tony’s second marriage, to Jane Hilbelink, produced no children.

William was married to Jennie Flipse an older sister of Mary Flipse who later married a distant cousin of William’s, John G. Walvoord.  William and Jennie had five children: Louis, Clarence, Marion, Esther and Harvey.
